FISH
Angler Survey
Analysis of Sign Effectiveness and Angler Awareness of San Francisco Bay Fish Consumption Advisory,
Berkeley CA, 1995
This document addresses an important ongoing issue, which is the effectiveness of signs as a method of alerting fishers to the existence of a fish consumption advisory. The discussion section compares the effectiveness of various methods of communicating sport fish consumption advisories. The important message is that a whole range of communication methods should be used including signs, television, newspapers, informing wardens and park rangers, etc., rather than just focusing on signs as the answer.
